Who we work with

Our mini tower crane hire service allows you to hire a suitable crane for a period of time.

Whether you need a mini crawler crane for hire or a spider crane for hire, we have a huge range available and are able to source a crane to your exact specifications. 

Our responsibilities

As part of our mini cranes for hire service, we remain responsible for ensuring that all our cranes have been properly maintained, tested and certificated.  

Our mini crane hire service comes with a trained crane operator. 

All our mini cranes

  • Are suitable for indoor or outdoor use
  • Can be operated remotely via LCD display
  • The majority of our cranes have a fully electric option which enables indoor working and reduces carbon emissions

Your responsibilities

As part of the rental process, you would be fully responsible for supervising the work undertaken and would have full liability for the lift. It is therefore essential that you have a suitably qualified Appointed Person with the appropriate training, knowledge and skill set. 

You will also be required to:

  • Carry out all work in accordance with B.S. 7121 and LOLER 1998
  • Ensure that the crane hired is of a suitable type and capacity.
  • Provide qualified and competent Slinger/Signallers as required.
  • Plan the lift and operate a safe system of work.
  • Provide all Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Provide insurance for loss of, or damage to, our plant whilst on site and the goods being lifted. 
  • Provide insurance for public liability, injury to the operator, and injury to other parties, including their property, arising from the crane operations.

The Fortis guys were extremely professional they arriving on site early so that all works could be done in the allotted time. The access and equipment which had been chosen was exactly what was needed due to the height of the doors etc. We helped each other with the lifting / replacement of the units which had the extra headache from the handrail which was not taken down as per the sites requirements & the fact the flue system could not be taken away due to only having support at high level.
