Each self erecting tower crane comes with a trained operator and we ensure that each crane has been properly maintained, tested and certificated.
Your responsibilities
As part of the self erecting tower crane rental process, you would be fully responsible for supervising the work undertaken and would have full liability for the lift. It is therefore essential that you have a suitably qualified Appointed Person with the appropriate training, knowledge and skill set to manage lifts involving self erecting tower cranes.
You will also be required to:
- Provide insurance for public liability, injury to the operator, and injury to other parties, including their property, arising from the crane operations.
- Provide qualified and competent Slinger/Signallers as required.
- Plan the lift and operate a safe system of work.
- Carry out all work in accordance with B.S. 7121 and LOLER 1998
- Ensure that the crane hired is of a suitable type and capacity.
- Provide insurance for loss of, or damage to, our plant whilst on site and the goods being lifted.
- Provide all Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
