Cala Homes Midlands sought a trusted partner to manage crane operations for their prestigious new build project in Cheltenham. This ambitious project turned a rundown former police station – close to Cheltenham town centre – into a prime development of 67 high-quality new family homes, finished to exacting specifications.

Entrusted with this responsibility, Fortis Heavy Lift Group stepped in at the planning phase to comprehensively assess site requirements and deliver a suite of services including Tower Crane Hire, Crane Management, Contract Lift, and Plant Movement.

From inception to completion, Fortis managed the entire process with precision and expertise. Our team meticulously sourced the ideal Tower Crane, selecting the JASO J160 Saddle Jib model to meet project specifications.

We seamlessly oversaw the erection and dismantling procedures, ensuring smooth operations at every stage. Key to our success was our commitment to safety and compliance. The Fortis guys were extremely professional they arriving on site early so that all works could be done in the allotted time. The access and equipment which had been chosen was exactly what was needed due to the height of the doors etc. We helped each other with the lifting / replacement of the units which had the extra headache from the handrail which was not taken down as per the sites requirements & the fact the flue system could not be taken away due to only having support at high level.
